Sidsel Overgaard

A public radio journalist by trade, Sidsel Overgaard has lived and reported in New York City; Washington, DC; and Albuquerque. After reconnecting with her roots in rural Denmark, she now finds herself, against all odds, freelancing from her tiny hometown in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, and trying to dodge the ghost of her high school self. Sidsel has covered everything from 9/11 to the rise of roller derby, but tends to focus most heavily on environmental issues.  Her award-winning reporting has been broadcast on a variety of local public radio stations (see above) along with NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered (listen here). She’s married to a fellow Penn Yan Mustang and mom to two little girls with inexplicably superior fashion sense. To read or listen to more of her work visit www.sidselovergaard.com.
