Mira Dougherty-Johnson is a writer and librarian. She is currently working on a memoir, Recapitulation Theory, that explores how stories are collected and shared, as well as a young adult novel and a travelogue chronicling her family’s challenges and adventures during a Fulbright year in Germany. She has recently published an essay, “On Teaching,” in Tupelo Quarterly 4 and has a piece of short fiction, “All Fairy Tales Are Actual,” forthcoming in The Southeast Review.
