Meg Brauckmann is a wanderer at heart currently channeling her endless curiosity into working at a community center in Baltimore City. Among these projects, she teaches creative writing to fourth graders, works with ESL refugee and immigrant students, and facilitates the Alternatives to Violence Project at a men’s prison. Meg studied Peacebuilding and Community Development at Eastern Mennonite University and sees storytelling as the heart of that work. She believes in living “deep awake,” which includes hand-written letters, “mad for life” dares, and challenging her own biases. Her migratory pattern revolves around the Patapsco River, the Shenandoah Valley, and the international terminal of the airport.
