Gwen Niekamp is a writer who recently returned to her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky after a scenic detour through South America. She graduated from Vassar College, where she majored in English and Hispanic Studies. In addition to the language arts, her interests include the environment and international affairs. She currently works at a refugee resettlement agency where she coordinates grant activities for Cuban and Haitian immigrants.
