Emily Bass

Emily Bass is a writer, AIDS activist and program director at an advocacy organization focused on global access to HIV prevention. She's the recipient of a journalism Fulbright award for reporting on AIDS treatment rollout in Uganda, her writing has appeared in the Lancet, Ms., Salon, Slice and many other publications. She's spent many weeks on the road in many countries with one carry-on bag, and now more frequently travels with her two sons and nine pieces of luggage. Read her full bio here.
